Imagine yourself relaxing on the shores of beautiful Hood Canal at the Alderbrook Golf and Conference Resort near Seattle, site of our 1998 Annual Community Continuity Conference (CCC)! Waterfront dining, tennis, a 6,338-yard par 72 golf course, heated pool and jacuzzi; the opportunity to hike local trails, and find wide open spaces for personal focus all will enhance the setting for our Community Building time together this July 16 - 19. And all this for the same price as last year!

Community Building is a powerful process - a technology and a discipline - which helps us learn about ourselves and relate to others in authentic ways. The process, developed by M. Scott Peck and others, has been studied and taught by The Foundation for Community Encouragement for fourteen years.

The Community Continuity Conference is designed to bring together participants from previous Community Building Workshops with those new to the process.

As FCE's annual networking event, it is an opportunity for old friends and new-comers to experience the adventure of community building and to go even deeper in the exploration of what it means to be deeply connected with others.

Theme: Leadership in Community

The `98 Conference focuses on Leadership in Community, a central part of the community building process that is often misunderstood. A group in community is a group of all leaders. How is an all-leaders group different from a leaderless group? Does everyone lead equally? Are all decisions group decisions? Are there any boundaries on the decision-making process? Are leadership and ownership of decisions the same thing?

FCE is reserving a block of rooms, half of which will be released on May 15, which means we might not have rooms available if we don't have your pre-paid reservation in hand.

The cost for our four days together is $550.00** per person, based on double occupancy, $650.00** per person, based on single room occupancy. This fee covers breakfast and lunch each day, and your room from Wednesday night July 15 through Saturday night July 18. The conference begins 9:00 am on the 16th and ends at noon the 19th. ** $550.00 (pp, double occupancy) and $650.00 (single occupancy) is for registrations received (with a $200.00 deposit) by May 15. Late registration, subject to availability, will cost $600.00 (double), and $700.00 (single). FCE members (with their $45.00 dues paid) will receive a 10% discount for the CCC.
