Community Needs Self-Test

One of the assumptions underlying the community building workshop is that many people feel there's a gap between who they really are (authentic self) and how they believe they must act in order to get along in the world and be accepted by others (social self). Researchers have called this gap "incongruency." How congruent are you?

Find out about yourself . . .

In each category, check the box that measures how easy it is for you to be who you really are around the following people (1 being very much like yourself, 5 being very little like yourself).

Add your numbers. The higher the total, the lower the level of congruency in your life. If your "gap" is larger than you want it to be, the community building workshop can help you.
